Thumbtack Lamp

A bold wink at everyday objects, the Thumbtack Lamp takes something ordinary and makes it extraordinary. Inspired by Pop Art’s love of scale and irony, this oversized thumbtack becomes a glowing sculptural statement — part art piece, part functional lighting.

The “cap” is hand-turned from solid Walnut, smooth and substantial, perched atop a brushed brass pole that doubles as a touch-sensitive switch. Tap the metal stem to bring the lamp to life with low, medium and high brightness revealing a recessed LED panel that shines with a warm, inviting glow.

Mounted to a real corkboard base framed in European beech, the piece plays with context and proportion — as if someone’s pinned a giant idea to the wall and lit it up.
